Phoenix's confident start

Phoenix commences with a victory in group B of the qualifying stage of the Championship of Ukraine, which, you will recall, takes place in the older age category - U15 this year.

The trip to the site was not smooth: we have lost forty minutes in a traffic jam at the circular road. With that, the boys got started right away. By the sixth minute, the team led 3:0 after Boldyzhev's kick and Dolhulia's double.

As confident lead as it might seem, evaporated in a minute, when the opponent scored twice. Still, due to the extremely high pace of the match, new developments came in a flash - after another sixty seconds, Artem Shevchenko established an advantage of two goals. But even with this advantage, the team that earned dangerous five fouls by the break did not finish the first half - Kyrylo Beh scored a last minute goal in a penalty kick.

The second half began with Nikita Bodnar's handsome goal. His long-range shot into the far top corner of the net became another center-piece of the match after the corner kick.

The further game resembled a see-saw: Sokil was after narrowing the gap in the score to a minimum, we were after restoring the shaky lead of two goals. At the very end of the match, Kostiantyn Liskonoh's team used 5-a-side, which, however, did not lead to any dangerous moments at our goalmouth, except for a couple of long-range shots. In the last minute, Daniil Dudin made good use of opponent's mistake and capped the scoring with a long shot into the empty net of the opposition - 7:5.

The team will compete with Persha Stolytsia already in an hour. Moreover, Phoenix will play six games in Zolochiv over just three days.
