Phoenix encountered its today’s opponent for the first time, and, probably, that was the reason why the teams were examining each other for a long time. Although Phoenix gained territorial advantage at once, it could not materialize it into scored goals at the beginning of the game. Still it had at least two hundred percent chances to do that when two Danylos – Dudin and Boldyzhev – took their shots from favorable positions.

The clean sheet was ruffled by our opponents – after an interception in the center of the field Ilya Ryumshyn went one-on-one with Volodymyr Lazeba and kicked the ball over him. Volodymyr showed a swift reaction and got to the ball, but it still fell down behind the line of the net.

The next five minutes passed completely at the bidding of our team. Three great quick attacks supported by all field players who were on the pitch ended with goals – Maksym Dolhulia once and Demyd Yevsiukov twice took Phoenix to a comfortable advantage. Nevertheless, Torpedo closed the gap quite quickly due to Vladyslav Rakhmail’s efforts, but in a minute status quo was restored after Mykhailo Soldatenko’s shot.

After the halftime break Phoenix traditionally wound up its pace, quickly passing the ball from one flank to another, cutting off several opposition players right at the start of attacks. As a result the boys gained complete game advantage, making 14 shots on target against two Torpedo shots. Five times the team from Kharkiv region started from the center of the field – after shots by Danylo Boldyzhev, Demyd Yevsiukov, Nikita Bodnar, Maksym Dolhulia and Denys Mikhno.

However, Torpedo players had the last word to say. Danylo Boldyzhev knocked down Ilya Ryumshyn in the penalty box, and Torpedo keeper Volodymyr Loktev set the final score in the game with a kick-off.

Phoenix continues to be the leader in its group, having scored the maximum number of points.
